My Greatest Christmas (or birthday) Wish

Since I was a little girl I have wanted one thing. A shopping cart.
I know I'm wierd. But I want one! Your probably wandering what I want to do with said shopping cart. Well I didn't know, that is, until last Tuesday.
I present to you THE SHOPPING CART CHAIR:

I think this is what I will do with my future shopping cart only mine will be slightly more...me.
And my shopping cart wont come with a random guy sitting in it...
Here's to crossed fingers for getting a cart this christmas!

Good News

I have some news!
I am officially an art major at Mesa Community College! I'm still only taking one class at a time (because of low cash flow), but I signed up to take a drawing class in the spring semester! Draw is one of the only art forms i have ...difficulty... with. Okay i admit it I HATE DRAWING! I cant seem to tap into my right brain when it comes to drawing. I want so badly to make the pictures appear on the paper but I cant seem to get the ideas from my head down onto the paper.
Anyways, enough ranting. The whole reason I'm taking this class is to learn and better myself. Right? Of course it is!
Among other things I will be making more t-shirts soon so stay posted!

Photography

okay so one of my (by far) most favorite art forms is that of photography. It quells my desire to be impatient. My photography is very raw and I don't do a lot of editing. So once again i encourage you, go find a camera (doesn't have to be good or expensive) and photograph something!
I may speak more on photography in later posts keep checking back!

melted crayons.

So a while ago I found some canvas board floting around my room this inspired the use of crayons and I got an idea...MELTED CRAYON ART......After a trip to wall-mart and the purchase of a box of rose art crayons (the ones that are too waxy to color with) I started melting; crayons that is.
I spent a fun night with a lighter and stick melting crayons into interesting shapes. If the colored wax was melty enough I would blow on it with a straw. I also tipped my canvas so the crayon would run every which way. I had alot of fun!
After I did this: (picture to the left) I set the whole thing in the oven and forgot about it. All the crayon melted off! It left a kind of brown color on the canvas and i mourned the loss of my artwork. Good thing I had a camera! It was definitely a fun experiment and I encourage you all to play with crayons more often.

me.

My Name is Amber and I am a Impatient Artist.
I love art, its in my blood. I haven't always felt this way when I started painting I discovered how impatient I really am.
I prefer the crazy unadulterated attacking the canvas kind of art ; the kind of art where you just use what ever color or shapes you want.

Check out this link i love this artist he is amazing.
